InFocus celebrates 200th episode

02 Feb, 2012

The 200th episode of Record InFocus will broadcast this evening on the Hope Channel and the Australian Christian Channel. The weekly television show combines breaking news, engaging interviews, health insights and succinct spiritual perspectives.

Dannielle Synot, news anchor for Record InFocus, is passionate about using the program to highlight inspiring stories and the Spirit behind them. “We regularly feature terrific testimonies of the power of God and the love of Jesus on the program,” she states. “It is wonderful to be part of a platform that connects people with real stories of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the gospel around the world."

Geoff Bentley, general manager of the Australian Christian Channel agrees: “We at the Australian Christian Channel love and appreciate all the 'Record InFocus' team and the wonderful partnership we have shared with them over the years. This program has been an integral part of fulfilling the vision of seeing peoples lives changed forever, through Christ, across the media. Well done team!”

Dr Barry Oliver, president of the South Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists, which sponsors the program, states “what began as an experiment five years ago has now become a vital source of news and information for our Church and the wider Christian community. I congratulate Adventist Media Network for the initiative and the professionalism that continues to be demonstrated in each program.”

“It's great that our Church leaders see value in providing a Christian perspective on current events and provide continued support so we can bring the stories to the world,” states Kent Kingston, the program’s producer. “We hope we go further than just informing our audience of the facts—we aim to inspire and challenge as well.”

Over the years the distribution of InFocus has grown. It currently appears on the Foxtel network in Australia, the DirectTV network in the US that is available in the homes of roughly 50 million Americans, and is rebroadcast on a number of free to air channels around the world. Online viewership is increasingly substantially both via the Record.net.au website and through the Record iPhone app (the Record Android app will be released shortly).

“InFocus continues to go from strength to strength,” observes Neale Schofield, CEO of Adventist Media Network. “It is one of the most popular programs on both Hope Channel and the Australian Christian Channel.”

You can view Record InFocus on HopeChannel or the Australian Christian Channel at 7pm EST, Friday evenings.
