Something Real this Christmas

Something Real this Christmas

16 Dec, 2011

Is there anything authentic and non-commercial left in Christmas? It’s a fair question to ask as we are bombarded with a thousand enticements to use our credit card, and precious little to entice us to use our hearts.

It doesn’t have to be that way. There are means of sharing the authentic Christmas message in a way that touches hearts and can change lives. A great way we can share the Christmas spirit is through short video messages the Adventist Church produced this season.

In the video below, Dr Barry Oliver opens his heart to speak about his personal loss this year, and invites us to find solace with him this Christmas time.

Both messages are short, to the point and very touching.

The videos are perfect for sharing with our friends, our families, and particularly with people who aren’t part of our church community. Simply right-click on the links below the videos to download or to email to your friends and family.

A nice message Barry and am sorry for your loss. I just wonder however if the reality is that churches do care that way for their constituents? The church in Australia is growing backwards at a frigtening speed with 1 conversion for every 2 churches annually. This is a crisis.

Great to see such videos being produced, to share around and encourage those who watch them. Please keep them coming!
